
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
Melt ghee or butter, then stir in sugar.
In a mixing bowl add butter mixture and flour.
Mix in the rose water. Gradually add milk, kneading until soft, pliable dough forms.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Divind into 32 portions and roll into smooth balls.
Flatten the dough ball in your palm and place one date in the center. Wrap the dough around the filling, seal and flatten into a disc.
Bake the cookies on a basking sheet, space 1-2 inches apart.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.
Dust with confectioner’s sugar once cooled.
Store in container.
