Put two sticks of butter in freezer along with the 8Tbsp of water.
Puree blanched almonds in food processor.
add flour, salt, sugar, and confectionary sugar.
remove butter from freezer one stick at a time. Cut 1/2 tsp squares add to food processer with other ingredients and puree.
After butter is added pull water from the freezer and slowly pour into processor. incorporating it with other ingredients.
Wrap finished crust in plastic wrap and put into freezer (1 hour).
Mix the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cornstarch in a container.
remove pie crust from freezer and divide into equal halves.
roll out half the pie crust and line pie vessel with crust. Place other half of crust back into plastic wrap and put in freezer along with the pie vessel.
Peel and cut apples into bite size pieces and coat with the spices that were set aside for the filling ingredients.
remove pie vessel from freezer apply softened butter spread on the base of the frozen pie crust. Pour coated apples into the crust lined pie vessel.
Roll out remaining pie crust and place over the apple filled pie vessel. Seal the ends all around the vessel. Poke a hole in the middle of the pie.
Bake in the oven at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes turn down to 350 degrees F and bake for 40 - 50 minutes.
Remove from oven cool and serve at your leisure.
