Luvafoodie Salt-Free Spices

A note from our CEO on Heart Disease:

I am a recent survivor of heart disease and now I want to help other women and men in detecting heart disease and in living a healthy lifestyle. My disease was misdiagnosed for one year. My symptoms and younger age were atypical for having heart disease. My doctor misdiagnosed me as having costochondritis on September 22, 2015. The end of August, I was diagnosed with heart disease. I had an angiogram and found out I had 80 % blockage in my left anterior descending artery.  On September 19, 2016, I had an invasive angiogram in Minneapolis, MN and had a stent put into my artery. During the procedure some of the plaque got into a smaller artery and caused me to have a heart attack in recovery. I ended up in the ICU due to the complication.

My mission is to tell my story in order to help other women in the fight against heart disease. More women die each year of heart disease than any other disease. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year- approximately one woman every minute. It is important to me to be an advocate in the prevention of heart disease and to educate and help others who may be at risk for heart disease. We will support the American Heart Association in building awareness and prevention against heart disease.

My company Luvafoodie is about having a joy and passion for food and beverages. Due to my passion for food and my company I have developed a new salt free gourmet spice line. A low sodium diet is best for controlling heart disease. Too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, stroke and heart failure. Most Americans eat too much processed foods, 77% of salt comes from processed foods. Due to my passion for food, cooking and my brand I decided to create a new gourmet salt free spice line.

Luvafoodie Company is owned 100% by me. Luvafoodie is a foodie brand for people who share a passion for food and beverage.

Help me save lives and build awareness in the fight against heart disease.
